The Wireless IP Project, a collaboration
between researchers here
(
Mikael Sternad
and
Anders Ahlén),
at Chalmers and at Karlstad University, has for two years performed
research on a mobile data system beyond 3G, with wide area coverage
for mobile users and extreme spectral efficiency.
Out of 144 proposals, the Wireless IP project was on June
17, 2002 selected as one of the 14 projects that received 3-year
funding by SSF, the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research.
