Abstract:
-
It is of great interest to be able to communicate, monitor, and possibly
control, embedded systems wirelessly and from a distance.
In this paper the
possibilities to do so are investigated.
The investigation includes for
example techniques to access embedded systems such as access
networks, web
servers and modem solutions.
At the other end the possibilities to present
information on a client. The properties of these access techniques are
studied in order to decide the suitability for the system to be a part of a
system fulfilling the needs to communicate with, and monitor an embedded
system wirelessly.
After the investigation was performed an architectures
for two systems, one web- and one WAP-based, are presented. The two
system
architectures are implemented, where much of the work come to focus on
the
integration between different software packages from different vendors.
The
other part of the implementation process was the building of applications to
the two systems.
