Abstract:

Within 3GPP, discussions are currently ongoing on how to evolve WCDMA to obtain peak bitrates in the order of 10 Mbit/s for best effort services. Key technologies discussed for such an evolution are fast link adaptation, fast hybrid ARQ and fast scheduling. In this seminar, the requirements and constraints posed on the evolution are presented and the status in 3GPP elaborated upon.
